In this weebly, I have informed you about Ancient Pompeii. I have given you evidence that there was a Mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD that buried Pompeii. I have showed the similarities and differences about Jewellery, entertainment and jobs ; but how do we know that there was life in Pompeii?
There are a numerous amount of evidence that tells us that there was life in Pompeii.
Pliny's Letters have told us that there was life in Pompeii. He told us that there was the Mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD that destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum. He told us what went on in Pompeii and he told us about his experience during the eruption. Most importantly, he told us that the city that was buried was Pompeii.
There have been many skeletons discovered. Too many to have been in a cemetery. This tells us that there is life in Pompeii as there wouldn't be skeletons scattered around for no reason.
They have discovered buildings and architecture. These buildings are very old and the architecture is very different to the architecture now.
1/3 of the city still lies buried. This means that we may find out some more evidence about Ancient Pompeii and how the people lived.
Thank you for taking the time to read my weebly and I hope you have learnt much more about Pompeii and the Mount Vesuvius eruption.
